From Research to Direction

With 37+ users interviewed — travelers, diaspora members, and language enthusiasts — we mapped the real needs behind cultural discovery. The challenge was clear: how do you make indigenous languages feel accessible, joyful, and worth exploring? We answered with a visual identity built on vibrancy and versatility, reflecting the richness of Benin's linguistic heritage, and a categorized information architecture designed to guide users naturally through their journey.

Production & Execution

Designing for Two Worlds

To deliver a truly immersive experience, Tafiya was designed across two surfaces — web and mobile — each serving a distinct moment in the user journey. The website acts as the first touchpoint: clean, minimal, and focused on language discovery and trip customization. The mobile app travels with the user — surfacing activity details, must-know vocabulary, an interactive map, and contextual travel support, all in real time.
